Decision ready ecology from feasibility through to delivery
We provide structured, planning grade ecological advice aligned with how projects move through planning and construction. Our approach ensures outputs are proportionate, defensible and aligned with programme requirements, reducing risk and supporting delivery.
Services aligned to project stages
Ecological assessment and reporting may be required where a project has the potential to affect habitats, protected species, designated sites, or biodiversity interests as part of a planning application or consent process.

We provide early-stage ecological advice and reporting to identify constraints, reduce planning risk, and inform project feasibility. Opportunities and Constraints Assessments identify key ecological sensitivities, risks, and design considerations to support site selection and scheme development.
Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) establish baseline conditions, identify potential ecological constraints, and determine requirements for further survey work and planning support.
All assessments are proportionate, site-specific, and aligned with project stage and planning requirements. We work closely with design teams to integrate ecological considerations early in the process, helping to reduce delay, redesign, and additional costs later. Our reporting is clear, defensible, and aligned with planning authority expectations.
A structured approach to delivery
Projects typically progress through defined stages, with ecological input scaled proportionately to risk and regulatory requirement. We engage early to identify constraints and remain involved through planning, construction, and post development management as required.
1. Early-stage assessment
Identify constraints and inform site strategy
2. Planning support
Prepare clear, defensible reports aligned with planning requirements
3. Delivery & compliance
Provide on-site support and management to ensure compliance
